Do you have medical insurance? I have excellent coverage and I don't want Messiah Obama to mess with it.

Healthcare/ insurance is a very important issue for me. We currently have insurance through the military (Tricare) but it expires at the end of this month. Unfortunately our insurance through DH's new job will not take effect until later in November which leaves us uninsured for at least 3 weeks. I've very nervous about the lapse in coverage not just b/c of the possibility of anything happening in that time but also b/c I'm worried about pre-existing conditions. Private insurance is very expensive in NJ so that is not an option for us at this time. At DH's former job in NJ (a small business) we paid $1200 a month for our insurance and that was after his employer paid a share.

If you bothered to read Obama's plan, you would realize that nothing would happen with your own health insurance.

Well, with McCain you will be taxed on that wonderful ins. It could add an extra 12,000 onto your Dh's salary. We pay 4,500 a year for lousy ins.

"Obama called McCain's plan "radical," charging that McCain, "taxes health care benefits for the first time in history."

According to the McCain campaign Web site, under his plan, "every family will receive a direct refundable tax credit -- effectively cash -- of $2,500 for individuals and $5,000 for families to offset the cost of insurance. Families will be able to choose the insurance provider that suits them best and the money would be sent directly to the insurance provider."

I have excellent medical coverage, but it's totally dependant upon my DH being able to work 1300 hours per year in union construction.

I disagree with you, but I'm pretty sure

Are you paying out of pocket for everything with your little girl and the twins? That has got to be costing you an arm and a leg. I am really sorry, hopefully you'll be able to get some soon.
