Every christian has told me the same thing... John 3:16 prevents eternal damnation! Hmmm...

Luke 10:25-28

English Standard Version (ESV)

The Parable of the Good Samaritan

25 And behold, a lawyer stood up to put him to the test, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”

26 He said to him, “What is written in the Law? How do you read it?”

27 And he answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.”

28 And he said to him, “You have answered correctly; do this, and you will live.”

Luke 18:18-22

New International Version (NIV)

The Rich and the Kingdom of God

18 A certain ruler asked him, “Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”

19 “Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good—except God alone.

20 You know the commandments: ‘You shall not commit adultery, you shall not murder, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, honor your father and mother.’[a]”

21 “All these I have kept since I was a boy,” he said.

22 When Jesus heard this, he said to him, “You still lack one thing. Sell everything you have and give to the poor,

and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

Luke 14:26-33

New International Version (NIV)

26 “If anyone comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—

yes, even their own life—such a person cannot be my disciple.

27 And whoever does not carry their cross and follow me cannot be my disciple.

John 6:53-54

New International Version (NIV)

53 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.

54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.

Matthew 18:2-3

New International Version (NIV)

2 He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them.

3 And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

John 3:3-8

New International Version (NIV)

3 Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.[a]”

Matthew 5:17-20

New International Version (NIV)

The Fulfillment of the Law

17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.

18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen,

will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.

19 Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven,

but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

20 For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law,

you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.

I know that most of you christians take communion and have been baptized.. but its pretty clear that none of you truly have what it takes to achieve eternal life in heaven... according to jesus!

Single celled amoebas evolved into simpletons that started singing jingle bells for Jesus. Not to knock the teachings Jesus brings because the bibles a good read like Steven Kings "Needful Things" - Sage Francis

Leviticus 20:9

If anyone curses his father or mother, he must be put to death.20:10If a man commits adultery with another man’s wife—with the wife of his neighbor—both the adulterer and the adulteress must be put to death.20:13If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death.Deuteronomy 22:20-1If, however, the charge is true and no proof of the girl’s virginity can be found, she shall be brought to the door of her father’s house and there the men of her town shall stone her to death. She has done a disgraceful thing in Israel by being promiscuous while still in her father’s house.

Exodus 35:2

For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day shall be your holy day, a Sabbath of rest to the LORD. Whoever does any work on it must be put to death.

Leviticus 20:9

phesians 5:22-24Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.Exodus 21:20-21If a man beats his male or female slave with a rod and the slave dies as a direct result, he must be punished, but he is not to be punished if the slave gets up after a day or two, since the slave is his property.1 Peter 2:13Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every authority instituted among men.2:18Slaves, submit yourselves to your masters with all respect, not only to those who are good and considerate, but also to those who are harsh.

Leviticus 25:44-45

Your male and female slaves are to come from the nations around you; from them you may buy slaves. You may also buy some of the temporary residents living among you and members of their clans born in your country, and they will become your property.

"Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones."
Psalm 137:9

"Behold, I will corrupt your seed, and spread dung upon your faces, even the dung of your solemn feasts; and one shall take you away with it."
Malachi 2:3

"For every one that curseth his father or his mother shall be surely put to death: he hath cursed his father or his mother; his blood shall be upon him."
Leviticus 20:9

"But Rabshakeh said unto them, Hath my master sent me to thy master, and to thee, to speak these words? hath he not sent me to the men which sit on the wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink their own piss with you?"
2 Kings 18:27 KJV

"Samaria shall become desolate; for she hath rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up."
Hosea 13:16

    • God loves everybody, except those who have had certain unfortunate accidents or had the wrong parents.Deuteronomy 23:
1 No one who has been emasculated by crushing or cutting may enter the assembly of the LORD.
2 No one born of a forbidden marriage nor any of his descendants may enter the assembly of the LORD, even down to the tenth generation.
3 No Ammonite or Moabite or any of his descendants may enter the assembly of the LORD, even down to the tenth generation.
    • One wet dream can ruin your whole day. Deuteronomy 23:
10 If one of your men is unclean because of a nocturnal emission, he is to go outside the camp and stay there.
11 But as evening approaches he is to wash himself, and at sunset he may return to the camp.
    • God invented the multi-purpose tool. Deuteronomy 23:
13 And thou shalt have a paddle upon thy weapon; and it shall be, when thou wilt ease thyself abroad, thou shalt dig therewith, and shalt turn back and cover that which cometh from thee.
    • Homosexual acts are an abomination. Leviticus 18:
22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
Don't do it with animals either.
23 Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion.
    • It's ok to sell your daughter into slavery. Exodus 21:
7 If a man sells his daughter as a servant, she is not to go free as menservants do.
    • If your bull gores a slave, you have to pay the slave's masterExodus 21:
32 If the bull gores a male or female slave, the owner must pay thirty shekels of silver to the master of the slave, and the bull must be stoned.
    • Oh, did I mention that you can have slaves? Leviticus 25:
1 The LORD said to Moses on Mount Sinai, 2 "Speak to the Israelites and say to them: '... 44 Your male and female slaves are to come from the nations around you; from them you may buy slaves. 45 You may also buy some of the temporary residents living among you and members of their clans born in your country, and they will become your property. 46 You can will them to your children as inherited property and can make them slaves for life...'"
      More on slavery
    • Marriage is between a man and at least one woman. Genesis 29:17-28:
26 Laban replied, "It is not our custom here to give the younger daughter in marriage before the older one. 27 Finish this daughter's bridal week; then we will give you the younger one also, in return for another seven years of work." 28 And Jacob did so. He finished the week with Leah, and then Laban gave him his daughter Rachel to be his wife.
    • And lack of marriage should not be viewed as an impediment, if you're a guy.

2 Samuel 5:13

      :
13 After he left Hebron, David took more concubines and wives in Jerusalem, and more sons and daughters were born to him.

More on polygamy

    • Extramarital sex is a royal thing for a guy to do. Just ask King David. 2 Samuel 2-5:
2 Sons were born to David in Hebron: His firstborn was Amnon the son of Ahinoam of Jezreel; 3 his second, Kileab the son of Abigail the widow of Nabal of Carmel; the third, Absalom the son of Maacah daughter of Talmai king of Geshur; 4 the fourth, Adonijah the son of Haggith; the fifth, Shephatiah the son of Abital; 5 and the sixth, Ithream the son of David's wife Eglah. These were born to David in Hebron.
    • Even the Jewish patriarch, Abraham (then called Abram) did it.

Genesis 16:2-4

      :
2 so she said to Abram, "The LORD has kept me from having children. Go, sleep with my maidservant; perhaps I can build a family through her." Abram agreed to what Sarai said. 3 So after Abram had been living in Canaan ten years, Sarai his wife took her Egyptian maidservant Hagar and gave her to her husband to be his wife. 4 He slept with Hagar, and she conceived. When she knew she was pregnant, she began to despise her mistress.
However, if you are a woman, extramarital sex gets you killed, and you are guilty unless proven innocent.

Deuteronomy 22:20-21

      :
20 If, however, the charge is true and no proof of the girl's virginity can be found, 21 she shall be brought to the door of her father's house and there the men of her town shall stone her to death. She has done a disgraceful thing in Israel by being promiscuous while still in her father's house. You must purge the evil from among you.
  • Having trouble finding a wife? Capture one! Deuteronomy 21:10-11:
10 When you go to war against your enemies and the LORD your God delivers them into your hands and you take captives, 11 if you notice among the captives a beautiful woman and are attracted to her, you may take her as your wife.
  • If you are a virgin woman and you are raped, you must marry the rapist. But at least the bastard has to pay your father.Deuteronomy 22:28-29:
28 If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, 29 he shall pay the girl's father fifty shekels of silver. He must marry the girl, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives.
  • News flash: bishops should marry after all! (However, unlike the rest of us they aren't supposed to marry more than one wife!) 1 Timothy 3:2
    2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
  • The Bible may not be rational, but π is! According to the Bible, π = 3! 2 Chronicles 4:2:
2 He made the Sea of cast metal, circular in shape, measuring ten cubits from rim to rim and five cubits high. It took a line of thirty cubits to measure around it.
  • Traditional corporeal punishment is for wussies! Deuteronomy 21:18-21:
18 If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son who does not obey his father and mother and will not listen to them when they discipline him, ... 21 Then all the men of his town shall stone him to death.
  • God takes responsibility for acts of God! Amos 3:6:
6 When a trumpet sounds in a city, do not the people tremble? When disaster comes to a city, has not the LORD caused it?

Jesus turned 5 loafs of bread into 500 in a time of desperation and risk of starvation.. Then a few months later found himself in the exact same situation where everyone is starving... The desciples say "lord, whatever can we do"... as if 2 months ago they didn't watch jesus perform a miracle.. wierd! Not to mention, a better miracle would have been to snap his finger and wiggle his nose to destroy the devil hell and sin... but I guess feeding a few people is good enough!

I guess that explains why you believe you're going to Hell.

Single celled amoebas evolved into simpletons that started singing jingle bells for Jesus.

And here I thought many of those single-celled amoebas devolved into godless obamamites who were so intellectually challenged that they actually believe in man-made global warming and think a windmill can power their cars.

And it's nice to see that you actually took some time to at least read exerpts from the Bible...even if your comprehension is questionable.

Jesus turned 5 loafs of bread into 500 in a time of desperation and risk of starvation.

Actually, we don't know how many loaves Jesus created, we only know that everyone was able to eat their fill and that 12 baskets of leftovers were collected.  The miracle also didn't occur in "a time of desperation and risk of starvation."  In an act of compassion, Jesus simply fed the crowd so the people wouldn't have to disperse and travel to buy food of their own.

Then a few months later found himself in the exact same situation where everyone is starving... The desciples say "lord, whatever can we do"... as if 2 months ago they didn't watch jesus perform a miracle.. wierd!

Again, no one was starving and no one said "Lord, whatever can we do"...but imagine the arrogance of the disciples if they had told Jesus to perform miracles on demand.

Not to mention, a better miracle would have been to snap his finger and wiggle his nose to destroy the devil hell and sin... but I guess feeding a few people is good enough!

If Jesus had wiggled his nose and destroyed the devil, Hell and sin, he would have deprived you of the opportuity to embrace them.

The Lord did not teach sola scriptura.  It is not written.

I have been pondering this - since the memorial for my mom this weekend. My mother's extended family is very religious, very strong in their beliefs and very vocal in that if you do not believe in their religion, you will not go to heaven (in their case they call it paradise).

My mother was not in any way religious, she did not attend their "church", she did not follow their beliefs, she did not read the bible. She had accepted that wherever they were "going" after death, she would not.

At my mom's memorial, we had a balloon release ceremony, where everyone wrote a message on a balloon and then the balloons were released. I noticed that my aunt (my mom's sister) had written on her balloon - "see you in paradise".

To be perfect honest, I wanted to yell at her, but I said nothing. I know she reads the bible everyday -  why she would even think that she would see her sister in paradise, when it is quite obvious that her religious beliefs say that my mom would never be there - was hurtful, to say the least...

These videos records near death experience of people that have visited Heaven and Hell and came back and tell the story. The important thing to note is they all had very same description about Heaven and / or Hell. Please see them all.

Excuse me, but can I ask you a question? I hope it will not offend you, but if you were to die today, where would you spend eternity? The Bible says it will be in heaven or hell.  Would you think about that please?

We plan so much for a vacation but do not spend time for eternal life. Please don’t put this off as it is your eternal life or death, after this life.

First The Bad News

Because we have sinned we are born separated from God.  Without intervention, we are ineligible for Heaven.  This applies to the entire human race.  You are not alone.

Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"

Romans 3:10 says, "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:"

Romans 6:23a "For the wages of sin is death;"

Revelation 21:8 "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone:"

There is no amount of good works we can do to save ourselves from being eternally separated from God.

Ephesians 2:8-9 say, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."

To be separated from God forever, simply do nothing.  To ignore or reject God's son is the only sin that can keep a person out of Heaven and the only alternative to Heaven is eternal torment in the Lake of Fire (Revelation 20:15, 2 Thes. 1:7-9).

John 3:18 "He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."

The Good News!

There is a simple and free way to be reconciled with God made possible by God's only son Jesus.  A blood sacrifice was needed to pay for your sins and Jesus was sent to become that sacrifice.  He was nailed to a Roman cross to shed His blood in payment for your sin.  Then three days after His death, He rose from the dead, validating once and for all His qualification to be our only Savior.

Placing your complete trust in Jesus' death, burial and resurrection is God's one and only means of reaching Heaven.

Jesus said (John 14:6), "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

In Bible John 3:16 & 17 Jesus said: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved."

The Bible clearly tells us how to be saved:

Romans 10:9-10 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

This is a free gift from God because He loves you.

Romans 6:23b "but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Romans 10:13 "Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

Are you ready to believe right now?   If so, simply tell God what he asked you to confess.  You might use a prayer similar to this one:

"God, I admit to you that I am a sinner and I know I cannot do anything to earn my way to Heaven.  I truly believe that Jesus died on the cross, was buried and rose from the grave.  I put my faith in His sacrifice to pay for my sin in full."

You can either choose eternal life in Heaven by accepting the Lord Jesus Christ or you can reject Jesus Christ and choose eternal hell.
