What do you think of transgender people in terms of religion? Do you view it the same way as you do homosexuality? Meaning, if your religion is againt homosexuality, are you also against transgendered people or is it a separate issue for you?

This is an easy question for me since I  (and the church I belong to) believe that everyone is deserving of God's love, so therefore homosexual people are welcomed in our church as well as transgenderd people. But I was surprised when I heard some a friend of a friend mention that they were two totally separate issues for her. I wanted to ask why she thought that way but didn't know her well enough.

My church is against the act of homosexuality not the homosexual, I just wanted to throw that out for clarity b/c there are a lot of confused people who believe the RCC despises the homosexual.  The reality is we are all sinners, We're all deserving of God's love!

But Jamblessed, homosexuality - male or female - is essentially a condition inherent from birth. Homosexuals don't choose to be attracted to people of their same sex: it's part of their 'being'. So how does that make them wifully sinful? Do you see my point?

I couldn't agree more, islaywhisky. There is no choice involved. It's also important to note that transgender and sexual preference are not related whatsoever::

"Transgenders believe they were born in the wrong body and attempt to change it (more than often it works properly and they go unnoticed. Its the ones who fail horribly tat you hear about on the internet). Homosexuals feel comfortable in their own body and love others of the same gender."
