Why hide your light under a bushel of bears, I ask you?

I agree the story is interesting, though in my opinion the title was sensationalist and silly.
Things do change with time, and more than anything, this is a vivid illustration of its inevitability.

I read this and thought, okay, so 10% less Americans are calling themselves Christian, but 10% more OF those Christians are calling themselves Evangelical, which seems to kind of come out in the wash.
It surprises me, though - I'd've thought that more would gravitate toward "New Thought" Christianity - which maybe they are.

Agreed.
It would also be interesting to know how that ten percent breaks down by gender.

And why in the world would you think YOU have the right to judge someone else's "lifestyle" and yet be free from being judged in return?
The arrogance of that is literally stunning to me.
Someone else's loving relationship has no deleterious effect on you. None. To sit in judgement of them, to indulge in your bias, and then be affronted because someone else does the same thing, judging you for that...
Leaves me shaking my head.
>>>I find it funny that a lot of Gays preach of Tolerance and can't seem to be tolerant of Christians who believe their lifesytle choice is wrong.>>>
And to preface this would be referring to conservative Christians and Christians who are agree with the some of the following examples.
So they should be okay with being denied jobs and housing based on actually or perceived being gay? Goods and services that a company would provide to anybody else should be denied to be who are or are perceived to by gay? Organizations that receive public money should be allowed to tell GLBT that they can't receive services that they would otherwise qualify if they weren't GLBT?
For the most part, people who are gay don't believe that they are sinning, do not believe it is a sin or something that they need to change, so of course they are going to be on the defensive, and rightfully so.
BTW, I consider myself Christian.

Lead me from the darkness to light.
Lead me from death to immortality.

It is those claiming to be Christian spewing out hate and bigotry in the name of Christianity that are demonizing Christianity.

Nope, if it comes up is conversation with me that they are Christian I never think that, but if someone comes up to me out of the blue and says that they are Christian and that I suck, I will consider them to be judgemental and full of hate and intolerant, but not because they are Christian but because they came up to me, a total stranger, and said that I suck.

Most people consider steal to be bad, regardless of religious views and cultures. Some cultures would view you eating pork, or beef, lobsters, or eggs to be sins too.

Not everyone follows your Bible. Would you like if if someone tried to dictate how you live based on their religious beliefs?

Maybe I missed it, but where are Gays trying to legislate laws denying you the right to be married, and to allow discrimination for you in regards to housing and employment? I have not seen any articles about it. Could you please cite some? Or are you just making it up?
'True Christians are not surprised by the decline of Christianity'
anybody who feels the need to use the phrase 'true christian' clearly isn't one. lol
