Ok....I can't believe this is even an issue.
I just read that in the paper today.
I didn't think there was any actual 100% positive proof that being "gay" was biological.
Frankly, I am always surprised when any Christian church is accepting toward homosexuality. Whenever anyone speaks about it from that platform, they cite chapter and verse.
Interestingly, this is the issue that first drove a wedge between me and my belief system. I'll post that back into the inherited beliefs post.
As for the 300 in attendance who supported the ordination of gays, one option is that they can go start their own churches. If their position is so right, they should have no trouble building vital, financially secure congregations.
IMHO, this issue is bigger than schism within a denomination - it will cause a schism in all of Protestantism.
