I didn't think there was any actual 100% positive proof that being "gay" was biological.

I'm pleasantly surprised the vote was so close. I was raised presbyterian, and our church was always pretty liberal, but I thought we were much more liberal than Presbyterians in general.

Frankly, I am always surprised when any Christian church is accepting toward homosexuality. Whenever anyone speaks about it from that platform, they cite chapter and verse.

Interestingly, this is the issue that first drove a wedge between me and my belief system. I'll post that back into the inherited beliefs post.

I'm not PC(USA), I'm EPC but I've been watching issue within the church. I can envision EPC growing should they go the other way at the next opportunity. Some churches may already be seeing the writing on the wall and begin moving out of PC(USA) sooner.

As for the 300 in attendance who supported the ordination of gays, one option is that they can go start their own churches. If their position is so right, they should have no trouble building vital, financially secure congregations.

IMHO, this issue is bigger than schism within a denomination - it will cause a schism in all of Protestantism.

There isn't at this time 100% proof.

Well we obviously differ about what we think is right and wrong in regards to homosexuality.
