Hello ladies,
I wanted to post a general reminder to the board that if you have been banned for violating Terms of Service, you are not allowed to use a new membername and rejoin.

Hey Melissa--why do I occasionally get a "You are not authorized to post comments" message when I sign in? Is it a bug? I'm not trying to shoot the messenger, but I swear the format in the late 90s was better. And FTR, I've never been banned, I just updated my name when I started reposting b/c quite honestly, since my prior name only reflected 1 kid and I've had 2 for 5 1/2 years, it was time for an update... Also, why is the site so Apple unfriendly? I can't post at all from my iPad. It is really kind of ridiculous and likely why the boards don't get the traffic they once did. FB is much easier to navigate. Plus y'all need a like button. And a dislike button. That would be super fun, esp. on the debate boards.
I realize you're not doing the programming, but perhaps you could pass along the feedback? I really don't see why the tecnology is so crappy in this day and age--it's embarrassing.
On Wednesdays we wear pink.
This user name was spectacularly retired by iVillage for witty repartee, or in your terminology, banned.
Are we supposed to self-ban like candidate Romney's ridiculous suggestion that immigrants self-deport?

You are getting that message because it's taking a minute or so for the login system to make its way over to the boards. After you login, give it time to refresh and for your username to appear at the top of the page. If you don't see it appear, try refreshing your screen. Our tech team has a plan in place to correct the problem, it's being caused by the sheer amount of data on the site.
The mobile site is being buggy, sometimes it will work fine, others not so well :( I just tried my iPhone and will pass along the posting issue I'm seeing.
Trust me, we do feel your frustration, and I'll pass along your comments (especially like a like and dislike button!). They are committed to getting the boards going again, it's just taking time to work out the issues.
