My beautiful 29 year old DD1 found out on Friday that she has breast cancer.

There is no indication that this is not completely curable but she has a long journey ahead of her.   Several months of chemo followed by major surgery.

She saw the surgeon on Mon, is getting an MRI today and sees her oncologist on Friday.

Such a young age to deal with this horrible disease. My thoughts and prayers are with her as well as your family as she begins her treatment.

Your family will be in my prayers, I am so sorry she has to go through this. It's horrible at any age, but it just seems wrong for a 29yo. God Bless.

Emptynester, I am so sorry to hear that. It simply should not be allowed for the young to have to deal with this stupid disease. I know what a wonderful family you have and I know that will be a great help for her. She should also check out http://community.breastcancer.org/ for online support and info, it is a goldmine. There is also an org called FORCE which provides support and info specifically for young women with breast cancer.

That you Roll.  Her oncology clinic put her in touch with a local support group.  They also gave her information for on line ones.
