I weighed myself 2 times today (because I just could not believe the first one-lol!!).

I went on the treadmill for 20 mins, went to the bathroom and then weighed myself. According to the scale, I lost 5 lbs. since last week. I went and did weights for 25 mins and then the bike for another 15 mins. I weighed again. Back up 5 lbs. basically making me lose nothing for the week.

WHAT do I go by? I know I am gaining muscle and I know I am losing weight as all my clothes are fitting looser, less "muffin top"-lol!!

I weigh myself once a week on Saturdays and have lost 4 1/2 lbs. in 4 weeks so unsure about this week now.

My weight changes 4-6 pounds during the day and then a monthly fluctuation of another 3-5 pounds.

Your weight will vary with a lot of things - whether it's before breakfast or after, with clothes or without, before working out or after (sweating a lot or drinking water can affect the scale), your home scale or the gym's scale.

If you're gaining muscle and losing the muffin top (congrats!), then it really doesn't matter what the scale says.

I do weigh myself once a week, BUT...not naked as I can't do that in the gym-lol!! It was just odd that it would go down and then up so much in such a little amount of time.

Weigh yourself once a week, on the same scale, at the same time of day, naked.

That way, all the parameters are the same and you have at true comparison.
