30-Minute Madonna

Yesterday, on the radio I heard that Madonna only spends about 30 minutes a day with her children (the rest of the time they're with nannies)--so people think she should be denied her latest attempt to adopt a child.

Yep, that's why they have had lawsuits against them for slander.

It's not a personal attack.

Knock knock...

Who's there?

The truth.

The truth who?

It's a TABLOID. If tabloids were news magazines, then I guess we'd consider Newsweek a tabloid. But we don't.

I'm sorry and don't want to sound mean, because I am into all the latest celebrity gossip but the National Enquirer is not the most reliable source of news :(

People probably claim their publishing slander becasues they're upset that the National Enquirer is publishing the truth.

Nah, I just googled their names and found that. Do you think this story is untrue?

I definitely am, if you are talking about the National Enquirer.

Hasn't the NE also ran stories of Elvis being alive and people giving birth to aliens?

I'm not much of a magazine reader, so I don't claim to know what kind of news is in National Enquirer, but from the cover stories that I see on the racks in the checkout aisle, it has always struck me as a gossip magazine - lots of "shocking" stories and unflattering pictures that imply that they are taking the truth and stretching it a bit for entertainment.

So again, I don't know how reliable or unreliable it is, but it strikes me as less reliable than sources such as Time or People. Although Enquirer strikes me as MUCH more reliable than The Globe (I think that's what it's called).

You can say it all you want, the cook claimed something about Madonna, that of course doesn't make the claim actually true....and hearing it on the radio doesn't change a single solitary thing
