Allowance for daycare closures?

This is something that is affecting me personally right now and I am curious to see others opinions about this.


I use in-home daycare for my boys and around here in-home daycare is a pretty popular option.

lol,my opinion is a bit painted because i'm an offspring to an educator,too...when dad taught adn there were early release days,the rest of the day was for meetings,for him to catch up on stuff.

My mother hated ANY disruption to her class time-- that was sacred to her -- so she hated early release days for that reason....I think either take the whole day or not but don't do this part day stuff -- that's neither fish nor fowl.

Nikki's dad is the pickup guy too but he doesn't get off work until 1 so on half days, I have to leave work to go get her and bring her back to the office with me.

What drives me crazy are the half days or early release days...in the middle of the week.


Our private school doesn't have those ever and even as a SAHM I'm glad.

We don't have early release days but yeah I'd mind them. Why go through the morning hassel of getting 6 kids to school for 3 stinking hours? I'd rather sleep in and have a fun day!

I really dislike late starts too.
