"What is exactly involved in 'inventory children's clothing'?"
For me it's twice a year making sure the kids have everything they need for spring/summer or fall/winter, going through totes to see what I already have and making a list of what is needed. I have 6 kids though so it's a must. In August I'll go through their school uniforms to make sure all 4 school kids have everything they need to start school.
I'll never forget years ago when my friend and I spent the summer living at the beach.

Our weather changes four times a year pretty much it needs to be done more frequently, I think.

I do it twice a year--in Aug before school starts and again in the spring. I also to it as Dylan and I fold his laundry. I'll ask him if a particular shirt still fits or if a certain pair of jeans are getting too short. That's when I check clothing if they need mending.
