Hilary Rosen has started a Twitter firestorm by stating that Ann Romney isn't capable of giving advice on women and the economy since she's never worked a day in her life:

That is really nice of you to think I respect Mrs.Romney's opinion about many things but the truth is I don't know a lot about her, Do you?

Actually, Rosen's remark about Romney's work status was totally unrelated to anything the Romneys said about women caring about the economy... Rosen created the firestorm, Lol.

Mitt Romney says he depends on his wife to go out and talk to women and then come back and tell him "What Women Want". The REAL issue is that Mitt evidently cannot simply go out and talk to women himself.

What, IMO, disqualifies Ann Romney as spokesman for 99% of women are her multiple Cadillacs, and 7 figure dressage horses and that fact she doesn't consider herself wealthy. Her experience of budgeting household income, raising children, paying for health care, saving for college and retirement, is not common ground with "What Women Want".

I think that's because you keep taking it out of context, that's the problem.

Exactly, it was the context.

Well, it's good to know you feel that way.
Here is my post again, instead of talking about what you think my feelings are, can you address the comments?
Rosen is right, Ann Romney hasn't worked a day in her life, in the context that Rosen was speaking.

I haven't continued to "take a phrase out of context." I said many, many posts ago that I took Rosen at her word when she clarified what she meant. But I can also see the other side. I understand why some people took her comment the way they did, and I don't think it was a smart thing for her to say. And I really have no desire to rehash this over and over and over again with you.
