Hilary Rosen has started a Twitter firestorm by stating that Ann Romney isn't capable of giving advice on women and the economy since she's never worked a day in her life:

Actually, Rosen's remark about Romney's work status was totally unrelated to anything the Romneys said about women caring about the economy... Rosen created the firestorm, Lol.

That is really nice of you to think I respect Mrs.Romney's opinion about many things but the truth is I don't know a lot about her, Do you?

Not true, She can't speak FOR working moms if she's never been one and Mitt Romney wasn't trying anything...... But you still haven't answered why Ann Romney can't speak about the economy, There is nothing unique about a working mom and the economy that a SAHM isn't qualified to discuss too. Having to work, having to chose b/w putting food and the table and the electric bill is beside the point..

I think those are better questions that why Romney would listen to his wife on women's issues. Too bad you weren't on CNN that day.;)

Because the Faux News cycle (and I don't mean just mean Fox, its all over WaPo, NYT, NPR) gives this stories coverage.

Can we concede that Obama and Romney both support and think sah's work really, really hard, em kay?

We know that Obama admin supports the Ledbetter fair pay act, and is opposed to Walker's repealing of the 2009 Equal Pay Enforcement Act in Wisconsin. What is Romney's stand? This seems to be central economic issue that does concern women.

So your grandma was a candidate's wife, and you said this on national TV? Yikes! ;)

My father's mother was a SAHM/W all her life. I've said many many times that she "never worked a day in her life." Guess I've been real snarky to my grandma.

I dunno. I think saying a candidate's spouse "never worked a day in her life" is inherently snarky, whether she intended it that way or not.
