Another PMT..... Guess who has no job?

Yep, that's me....

After a long illness and a lot of absences, I was informed today that I'm just not pulling my weight around there and they were going to have to replace me.

I could have argued, but I was too busy grabbing my purse to leave! I'm so relieved! I hated that job so much and I was ready to quit anyway, this just gave me a really big push in that direction. I called the old SO from the car and said, "I'm on my way home...for GOOD!!!" He's a little worried that I'm so happy about it and that I don't seem stressed at all...but not to worry, once it sinks in that tomorrow's pay check is ALL THERE IS, I'll start to worry a bit.

For now, I'm still recuperating and need the rest. I came home, shot off about 16 resumes, and went to bed. It was great. I'll freak out tomorrow.

You'll find something better. Isn't leaving a bad job the BEST feeling? You'll do great.

Yes, better for your health.

And this means something better is going to happen for you!

I wouldn't freak out yet. Enjoy the feeling of relief for a little while. There is nothing like leaving a job you despise. I had one I hated and I loved leaving.

Praying a better job heads your way...

Are you elegible for unemployment? That might give you a little breathing space. I hope you can keep that good attitude and enjoy your time off, and then the job of your dreams comes your way. Good luck.

and im sure things will work out for you one way or another. have you read "who moved my cheese?". its exactly this, and to me when someone moves my cheese, its an opportunity, not the end of the world. you wont die......you'll just move on, maybe to a better place!! good luck!!

Well, I might die...of starvation....but it won't be in the next couple weeks, at least!

For the most part, this is just a really good thing. I told my boss that in my exit interview (such as it was) today. I basically thanked her for the opportunity to never have to look at her again.

I've sent off about 30 resumes in the past 2 days, and I'm still plugging away. One was very interesting...it was on Flipdog.com and said it was in Richmond, VA but when you read further you found that it is actually in Richmond, New Zealand. That would be an interesting change.

Thanks, Beth!

Hey, babe I ain't worried 'bout ya! Now that your unemployed, I guess I get stuck buying the Margaritas, huh?

Not to worry, these things happen and when one door shuts, another opens. Here's hoping the next door only has GREAT things behind it!
