At lunch, I was walking at a park near my office.

I reported the post, it was in very bad taste.

Saturday, April 11, 2009 at 11:45 am (central time), and according to the Weather Channel, it is 40 degrees with light rain in Providence, RI and it is 45 degrees with light rain in Hartford, CT.

The difference in weather is underwhelming.

Thanks, you saved me a trip to seek out warmer climes 50 mi south! It was icky and damp today and I went for a 6 mile run in shorts and long sleeve T. The run was not problem, but I got the chills during cool down that I still can't shake even hours later.

So, instead of trekking to CT, we've put a log on the fire and dh, dd and I about to watch Baby Momma (dd is a huge youtube Tina Fey fan), and the boys are Guitar Heroes on the wii. Life is good in our backwater.

I have changed my wardrobe choice for sunrise service tomorrow, though. Is a snuggle blanket appropriate Easter service attire?

Fact is, wealthy people have always had nannies. All throughout history.

And even for middle class people, its not possible for mom and dad to be with the child 100% of the time. You will occasionally need to employ a babysitter or caregiver. And when your child starts school, he/she will be in the care of others.

Of course, I suppose you could keep your children confined at home, away from everyone else....but that's not really fair to their development, is it?
