This is really simple, becasue there are certain places that belly shirts are appropriate attire, and other places where it is not.

So then what are you disagreeing with exactly. Belly shirts are not appropriate attire for young girls in front of a audience while they cheerlead, to play outside in the warm weather or swim at a pool it is considered proper attire.
Have you never seen a sign that says shirt and shoes required?
That would mean that proper attire is expected.
You could not go into a court room with a belly shirt you would be sent out of the court room, even as a child.
There is not a literal audience, for example, people are not sitting in bleachers viewing a competion, or meet or game ect. They may be people watching in public but that is a whole other issue.
So do your boys not have play clothes or play shoes they wear at home and clothes, shoes they wear to school? Mine do. There are things they are not allowed to wear to school, to church, out to dinner, birthday parties, out in public and things they are allowed to wear to play at home.
I dont think anyone has said they make their quidelines and rules dependant on what others are wearing. Unless I missed that. I may have.
I have been reading this debate for three day's and have tried very hard to stay out of it but I have to respond. I think she has made her position very clear, she has had to repeat herself over and over agian, the problem imo is no one is listening to what she is saying only what they want to hear.

Could you please explain how you think that the opposite view of your's is a stereotype and not a reality, in your opinion?
How is young girls with inappropriate clothing a stereotype in a parents view and not a reality of what they think is best for their child.?
I agree with sabina. I think she is dead on and I am not one who follows a stereotype so Im interested in how you see her views as such.
Or it simply because you disagree with her view?
<>
I don't think that the opposite view of mine is a stereotype, so no, I can't explain that.
<>
I can't explain that to you either, because it isn't what I said or what I think.
<>
Is what because I disagree with her view?
Here is where we disagree, Imo the biggest part of cheerleading is not the competion but promoting team spirit.
