LIke I wouldn't know if my dd had posters of half-naked, objectfied, sexualized women on her walls.

Of course not. But I'm going to give them that chance. I'm going to try. And if I see signs that it isn't working? THEN I'll do something about it. But, like m3t said, I'm not going to make an issue where one doesn't exist.

Does a girl have to have such images on her walls to be influenced by them?

No need to be sorry, really! LOL! Could you back your opinion with fact? That Iam NOT doing the right thing for my kid's? Could you support your opinion that my choice is NOT best for my family? That what you think, is not doing right by my kid's?

What Iam doing is best, which makes it the right way to raise my kid's!

Your ignoring my entire point. Cheerleading and the reason for cheerleading imo is about team spirit it has nothing to do with competition.

i'm not really following htis cheer thread sabina, but you sound a lot like the homeschool mom i ran into at the church nursery who was disappointed because the movie, lion king was on...her disappointment offended me and other moms because she was creating something that wasn't there. even her kid was upset because she didn't read the movie the way the mom did.

and aren't you the same parent who allows your girls to scout the first few weeks of school, too before shopping for back to school clothes? why allow your girls the influence and adjustment period of trends that have the potential for so much more harm than creating a wrong where there isn't one?

Traditionally that was true. And is still true for many squads today. But it is also NOT true for many other squads. There are many squads that exist SOLELY for competition.

okay so I was correct in my initial post to you. Since you acknowlwdeged that in your opinion she has a stereotype and is confused by reality.

I disagree with you!
