Well, I said I "might", not that I definitely would.

But you were using "inappropriate" in the context of "lingerie would be inappropriate at church" not that YOU think it would be inappropriate. The fact is, it's a personal feeling and has nothing to do with whether or not something is appropriate. (To society) Lingerie is inappropriate at church because of general social values. Belly shirts are not inappropriate at a football game except to individual people. (I still don't get how they are ok AT a football game, but not if they are a cheerleader... overprotective is not the word I would pick, I would probably pick naive.)

I didn't say any particular item of clothing *would be okay* at a football game; I said it might, depending on the parent.

"Naive", "inappropriate", all such terms are subjective.

I have never once said what is RIGHT for all ten year olds...I have said that IMO a ten year old is not mature enough to stay home alone. There is a big difference in these two statements. I have made it very very clear that a mother knows best and that this is strickly MY OPINION!

I thought she was being facetious, flippant, not literal?

You keep forgetting the key words! IMO and SEEMS. No where have I made a statement claiming that my opinion is what is "right for all ten year old."

No where have I claimed what you think, I said it seems you think.

--They have a variety of clothes, yes. However, they all meet the same minimum standards of coverage and modesty. I don't have one set of rules of modesty for school and another for going out in public.--

Neither do I.

Your not listening to me. Read what I said agian.

"There are things they are not allowed to wear to school, to church, out to dinner, birthday parties, out in public and things they are allowed to wear to play at home.
