I actually gave zero implication about what I personally think. I certainly didn't say anything remotely close to what you just implied. That you are *still* trying to implicate that anyone at all thinks there is zero chance for objectification in cheerleading is telling.

You, on the other hand, said this; " I said I might be okay with her wearing it as a spectator, while not being okay with it if she were performing and on public display, as she would be if she were cheerleading." The expectation that the reaction to a belly shirt would differ so greatly between the two situations is naive.

Good job avoiding the parts of my post that you couldn't explain, however.

Well, obviously. But some might not always be modest enough. Or the adults in their lives might not be interested in modesty.

Um, it states very clearly IMO no where does it say what I say is right RIGHT for all ten year olds as you have claimed Iam saying. So yep, my key words are there.

Like I said there is a difference in making a comment of what one seem's to think and what one thinks.

Now Im confused. I disagree with you that one attire should be acceptable general attire for every child in every situation, public, cheering in front of a crowd at home. We have play clothes for home and for play dates, church clothes, school clothes, practice clothes, preformance clothes ect.

My children are not allowed to wear certain clothing in public because it is inappropriate attire so yes of course modesty is part.

I'm aware you might not have stated what you personally think; that's why in my last post I said "If".

As to what is or isn't naive, you're entitled to your opinion, of course.

Please remind me what parts of your posts I've ignored.

Nope, not once, no where does it say that my opinion is *right* concerning all ten year olds. Please provide one link to back up your claim. I would like to see one place where I have claimed that my opinion is *right* concerning all ten year olds and nothing other than my opinion.

Of course, there are also that adults that have conflicting rules of modesty for their children that are based on nothing more than stereotypes.

Right up there. You are making a general statement about 10 year olds.
