because there is not much sex appeal in sweating, being bruised and having no skin left on the palms of your hands. cheering is hard work, it is just as athletic as any other sport and the girls work very hard. my dd has practice, competition or a game every day of the week. while other sports run for a season cheering runs thru all of them

No, your so incorrect, it is somewhat funny. *no offense* Iam doing what is right, Iam making the best choice because I have to. Iam not always doing what I want to do, there are day's I would leave them home, if I could, it would be much easier, but it is not the best choice for my children. I cannot do that, because it is agianst the law to leave a ten year old at home, without supervision, in my state, because they are not old enough to be left alone, or mature enough to cope with all situation's.

Music, entertainment, technology, road rage, clothing styles, gang's, rave parties... just to start.

How about the fact many schools even some elementary have security guards and weapon detectors at the front doors of the schools.

Prom now is nothing like it was when i was a kid let alone homecomming.

<>

Internet porn is a huge issue in society today, another reason why we have to protect our children, by staying closer to them then in day's befor. We cannot allow children to roam and fend for themselves like we use to. That is how they get wharped, hurt, addicted and harmed.

<>

This is not factual, it seems a bit niave, really, if a child is left home alone, a family or close friend can get closer to prey the child and molest, then if the parent is home.

That is because in this day a parent has to be involved at least somewhat, many schools give a parent, no other choice. Some schools make a parent volunteer a certain numbers of hour's a year. Most assignments, schedules, assignment book's or agenda book's have to be sighned daily. Confrences are a manditory thing.

Another obvious change in society today than a decades ago. Today that would be considered ignoring a child in many ways.

Not saying if I agree or not, just how society would view your mother's behavior and action towards you and your school years.

I will be honest I could not imagine not knowing my kid's teachers name but that is me. Or not overseeing their homework when they need me.

I am not one to let my kid's fend for themselves.

Im confused by your post? Are you saying kid's today are not taught simple living skills or decades ago?

Most older kid's I know today and 5 years ago know how to write a check, but choose to use plastic instead. *shrug*

Many of them have job's and have their own checking account's, saving account's, credit card's, money market account's ect,
not saying it is good or bad just a norm in this decade.

No you might have had a pedophile in the neighborhood, but it just wasn't posted on a website.

There are quite a few city highschools and universities with male cheerleaders.

No terrorists weren't a big threat, but when I was in elementary school it seemed pretty certain that Russian would drop an atomic bomb on our country at some point.

I have to agree, although I will be the first to admit that, I like to show off my best asset's, always have. My problem is not with the older girls or grown women, mine is with the little girls dressed up like tennagers or even grown women. The make up, the outfit's the hairdo's, it makes me sick.

My dh's sisters and mom are shapely lol, did not know how else to put it. Developed quick big chested, small waist, full package, my dd has taken on this body type, excpet she has my longer thin leg's, *im in trouble* there is no way, I would even consider dressing her up like a teenager or a grown women, I dress her down. They grow up too fast, plus there are to many freggin weirdos out there, thinking she may be doing a kartwheel for them.
