Nope, not going to tell. Primarily because of the information I gave on another post, what year I graduated in. With that information plus where I graduated from it would not be hard for someone to figure out exactly who I am (if they wanted to). It would already be narrowed down to the female members of my class. They could subract those that never left MI. Of the pot that is left all they would have to do is ask around to find out who fits the criteria of other information I have shared, joined the Air Force, has three DDs, DH is retired Air Force, lives in TX etc.
Loosing my anonymity would to me mean loosing my freedom to post exactly what I think. I would have to be more careful of what I said.
Are you serious? My 10 year old 6th grader (was 9 for the 1st month of 6th grade) was coming home after school and staying alone until I got home from work. What exactly were supposed to be the dire consequences from that? She's now a 9th grader and we've never had any problems.
I don't know....we weren't talking about putting a child at risk as your link suggests nor does it state that children't shouldn't be left home alone, just that most children aren't ready by age 13.

<<My point is that everyone thinks that at age 10 you can just leave them home so you don't have to hear them whine where they don't want to go.>>
Who is everyone?

<<Really? I never had to feel like some "terrorist" was going to attack when I was a kid.>>
Dh remembers the school drills they did as a child due to the cold war.

There was much more concern about nuclear threats back then, due to the cold war.
