Your thoughts? Do you ever wonder whether the reason why the debates always turn into much-too-literal conversations about things like lasagna is because there isn't really anything substantive to debate about SAH vs WOH?

Why is it sad? Do you expect your child to only be happy in your presence? That I find sad.

I do all kinds of things on weekends, what does that have to do with it?

There is no need to yell. However, it is actually a sign of health and good social adjustment for a kid to prefer playing with other kids rather than with her parents. Kids are supposed to play with other kids.

No, it is not sad at all. If you think that is sad, you have a very mistaken view of child development. At what age do you think a child should want to spend time with people other than the parents? 30 or so? Never?

Nope, wrong again.

Emptynester asked Puss about Puss living in Germany in post 31. "If I remember right didn't you once live in Germany?"

Puss stated that she had lived there twice in post 46: "Twice, actually. Once, as a minor when my Dad was assigned there (he was a civilian working for the DoD) and then again when I was stationed there with the Army."

Then Emptynester said in post 47 that she remembered that fact about Puss right after posting her question: "Yes, after I posted I remember is was twice, as a child and as active duty."

So... at no time did Emptynester ever state that she herself had ever lived in Germany.
