Do you think there's such a thing as being "stuck" in your SAH/WOH circumstances?

It is sort of like, "these are the cards I have been dealt, now I have to deal with them."

Yes. Or like "I don't like the cards I was dealt, but I am going to make the best play I can with these cards."

but in the contxt of SAH and WOH, i do not think stuck is empowering, i think it's an excuse.

I think it's an explanation, and whether it's an excuse is very much dependent on who is doing the talking. I just described how I was stuck WOH, I really was stuck, I was boxed into that choice because it's the only option that worked. It represented me being responsible and was not an excuse. I wanted both but could not have both. I wanted to be responsible and meet the obligations I had made, which meant WOH. I wanted to SAH more than I wanted to be working, but working was the only way I could meet those existing obligations. I could only choose one, I was stuck with WOH, and I made the best choice. No excuses.

You believe that it is possible to choose to SAH in every single situation a person may find themselves in?
