Bring Your Baby to Work -- Good or Bad?

Bring your baby to work programs were recently listed on Huffington Post as one of the top "10 ways companies are making workplaces more flexible."

One commenter writes: Bring baby to work for parents or grandparents is a BAD idea. There is work to do and it is disruptive for the workers to say nothing of the neglect for the baby. No. Babies and children need more attention than a
worker can provide. This is not a good idea.

What do moms think?

I think there are too many variables to say whether it's good or bad across the board.

In general, I would tend to agree that beyond the first six months of a baby's life, most workplaces aren't a great place for a baby all day(and in some cases, not even during the first six months).

I think it all depends on the job. With my own, I could not bring my children to work with me. My company did help out moms and dads starting right before my 1st child was born by contributing 25% to daycare though. The original daycare was local to the job so you could be close to your child. Over the years you had the option of going to any daycare and they would provide the same 25% discount.
