I'd love to be able to bring my baby to work while I'm still nursing!

I suppose it would depend on your profession.

I agree with you -- and the theater I work at is very child friendly but none of us abuse that. There are kids there occasionally on a snow day or a day when they have a doctor or dentist appt. but it's only for a few hours and I am VERY strict with my daughter if I have to do that about her staying inmy office with her nintendo or her dvd player and headphones -- I do think it can be disruptive and it makes me anxious as a parent worrying about her being in the way ... I agree with you. In a real pinch every once ina while fine -but not as a regular thing.

I don't agree with bringing a sick child to work.

I brought both my children to work with me after they were born - one for 2 months and the other for 3 months.

Sorry it was unpleasant for you. A friend of mine's mom owned a store when we were growing up and it was quite fun actually to be there. My friend now own's her own boutique (3 of them) and regularly has her kids there too. Seems like a great environment for them.
