That sounds dangerous. I would not feel comfortable having my dd sleep in a sleeping bag "somwewhere" in the hotel while I cleaned rooms. If the dd is in a sleeping bag sleeping, she isn't going from room to room with mom, so she is sleeping somehwere unattended? No, if that is the case I would determine it unacceptable.

I would say in most cases it is not good--for the every day kids staying at work with parent even a couple hours every day is a long time when you are a kid! They are a distraction and they are going to need interaction. I'm sure some offices/work places can accommodate it, but generally I'd say no.

Saying that I do have my kids with me at work 2 days a week! I work at their school 2 days a week & I bring them with me 20 minutes before the bell rings. Then they go to their rooms. After school I work a half hour and they come to my room for that half hour and do homework, or play with their friends (teacher's kids who also hang out after shcool) or help the librarian or other teachers with jobs around the school. It works out for us & I have permission to do this from my boss & the principal. However on days when I have to work on an inservice day, they do not come with me. Teachers do this & their kids hang out all day, but my boss does not allow it. I really wouldn't want them here all day, they would be a distraction & I don't think it's fair too them to have to enterain themselves for 7 hours at my work.
