yes its my dd again. she made it over the first hurdle of applying to study abroad. she has been nominated as a candidate for the program. next the grant board? must review her application, and then the people in spain must do the same.

about a month ago i was so excited because she was "chosen" to go to an open house to learn about a full scholarship/grant. well, she went and was very disappointed. they told her it is only offered to juniors, shes a sophomore, and they dont have a program in spain! ummmmmm, why did they send her the invitation???? helloooooo! she was sad, but of course, true to her personality, bounced back in, oh, five minutes!!

going to see her this weekend! cant wait.

thanks for allowing me a spot. this board seems to move s-o-o-o-o-o s-l-o-o-o-o-w since the format changed. does everyone feel the same?

Oh, yeah. The few threads that have gotten started have gotten so HEAVY, it seems like it just creeps along. And there's no "clean house" feeling when a new board starts -- apparently this is the board, from now on. I still don't like it.

Congratulations to your DD! That's great!

Congrats to your dd!

I gotta tell ya, I spent only a few weeks studying in Germany - but it really was the experience of a lifetime! She must be totally excited, and I can *feel* your proud mom grin going from ear to ear here!
