On a debate team, one has to be prepared to debate *either* side of a specified subject area.

So, what points from the "other side" do think have merit. Are there any points that you haven't seen that you think would be hard to counter?

IME, the only people that I have heard complain about fulltime kdg. were the sahm's. Children who go to daycare for years are used to being in a school environment all day long and it doesn't affect them as much.

They key to it is "they make enough money"

If it took all of the two incomes to pay their living expenses they they would not be able to live on a reduction of their income.

If they had extra money with the two incomes after paying their living expenses then they could possibly live on a reduction of their income.

Again not much different then a SAH/WOH situation. If it took their entire income to pay their living expenses they they could not live with a reduction of that income.

If they had extra money after paying their living expenses then they could possible live with a reduction of their income.

Then why did you say that?

I didn't.

So you have a separate savings account for yourself?

Noooooo?

That is great. Hopefully his job is safe and secure

Thanks.

I can see where the fewer days would get frustrating!

"Then why did you say that?

I didn't."

I would say, too, that woh as some sort of protection in case of divorce sets up a dynamic in the marriage that could make a divorce more likely. I could be wrong, but I think of my own relatioship with dh, if I felt the need to protect myself from him, that we both would be less emotionally invested.

"So you have a separate savings account for yourself?

Noooooo?"

So you have no safety net in case of divorce?

No, I said children who were in daycare, not just a child of a wohp as that child could have been home with a nanny or babysitter and not in a school setting for 8-9 hrs. a day.
