Australian company, IAG, is tempting pregnant employees to not quit after giving birth by giving moms who return from their 14 week paid maternity leave a double-pay bonus for the first 6 weeks they are back:

I would be happy with their 14 week paid maternity leave! It does benefit the company to not lose trained employees, we all know that companies goals are to make money. People who whine about the policy aren't being realistic, if it affects the company's bottom line than they benefit as well.

I think it's a good strategy to convince moms to come back to work and to help cover those initial expenses of having a baby.

It's a strategic move to keep workers that they have already trained and have value to them.
