I'd rather work my job, on the night shift, 46 weeks a year (cuz I get 4 weeks vacation plus 2 sick), than 1 month being a teacher. Unless it's July.

Do what you want. Just don't try to pretend that you're doing something great for mankind by quitting teaching so you can make more money.

No, I'm not looking for a pat on the back from society for raising my kids *or* for working. Like most people--including you--I work for my own interests, not to save the world.
