That's my approach as well, granted it would be easier for me to just do it myself but I owe dhaze and apology because there is something in my life that I choose the hard way and that's some things involved in parenting.

yelling is as disrespectful as not pitching in is. i know from past efforts that there is no way that i can convince you that my home is not a place where you will find raised voices, arguments, wheedling, negotiations, punishments and the like, but i think that's at the core of it.
I lose it and yell once in awhle as well....but I notice the my sons tune out any yelling, the rolling of the eyes thing.

Since that hasn't been stated, any more than the "all the work" was posts ago....I'm sure this isn't an issue either.

agreed. I don't yell about chores (I yell about other things LOL ) but not chores - but what we always try to stress is that its a matter of respect for the people you live with and the house you share as a family to do your part - to make sure your laundry gets to the hamper - to hang up the towels on the rack after ashower, to clear rinse and put your own plates in the dishwasher etc...

Oh....that's my dream, "learn that it is easier to do it right the first time", with my oldest son.
