Dinnertime is not what it used to be. There is no "family time" anymore. I am glad that we haven't gotten to the point that everyone is too busy to spend a half hour together. I hope we never do :)

lol!! We let my dh make pancakes too, for breakfast or dinner. The kids LOVE them.

Why would you think that because people occasionally have outside of the home commitments at dinnertime that there is "no family time" anymore?

I know that you have a schedule such that dinner time might be the only time during the week that you all can sit down together, but that's not the case with everyone. "Family time" can be all weekend long; it can be most, but not all dinners; it can be frequent road trips with no distractions such as DVD players running while families drive together and talk; it can be late night talks driving home together from the away game that made dinner together impossible. There are a lot of ways to have "family time."

Uggh...I was in the grocery store for almost that long today...the lines were HORRENDOUS!!! Big sale AND the 4th. I knew I should have gone tomorrow-lol!!
