You have stated that you had dinner as a family every night together, you have stated that it's been "very few and far between" for your child....how exactly does one gain experience in having dinner at other people's houses and having others over when one hasn't experienced that experience?

"Not sure why this is such a big deal. I guess it is just "easier" NOT to have your children at dinner with you-shrug."

What, other than just plain meanness, would prompt anyone to post such a thing? She's said she has the kids' friends over as often as they are at someone else's house. You *know* she's not sending her kids off to make life easier for herself.

Same area as what?

I think you might want to read my post again though, I was talking about two areas....the area that I live in and the area that I grew up in.

My family is on the way back home from Huntsville, and will be eating on the road. I am going to finish writing this lecture I am working on and probably going home to eat leftovers by myself, probably with the dog watching. It's only the third night I have ever stayed in my house by myself. And yeah, I am kind of enjoying my night off. Except I celebrated my "freedom" this morning by shampooing the kids' carpets. I forgot to have the little slaves do that before they left, lol.

Nah, don't be sad. He got off early yesterday, went out to a local spot for shopping and ice cream and off early today. Since I had the kids all morning and early afternoon, he took them for a couple of hours and I got some errands done and some quiet time alone.
