It would come in handy....but not for the during the day stuff for me, but more for the after 5pm stuff when practice is rained out or it's too hot for practice, that type of thing when I'm already in route.

I agree with that, too. It's a good thing to go above and beyond the call of duty in any occupation, but I think that everyone has to explicitly establish a boundary somewhere, because otherwise some students/parents seem oblivious to them. LONG story, but I once got a call from a seriously drunk student at 2am and had to take her to the emergency room. I obliged (and good thing, too), but it's amazing the things that we are asked to deal with sometimes.

Yes, that's exactly why it would come in handy for me but fortunately, dh gets those emails too so he just calls me if I'm already enroute. Ds' lacrosse coach would notoriously send out emails about 45-60 mins b/f practice. At that point, I was always either hustling the kids out to the car or already in the car on the way to my dd's practice that started 30 mins before my ds'!
