<<There should NOT be an assumption that you would be "friendlier" with parents from a private school because they MIGHT be a smaller class.>>

There isn't...as I clearly stated in my previous post that it might be different in a public school simply because there are a great number of people involved, there wasn't a general assumption about anything let alone a specific one.

Oh, is that why I don't want to work?

Exactly, it's didn't start out as an assumption...it was incorrectly turned into one, despite my correction multiple times back to what I actually stated, which wasn't an assumption.

For me it's been easier to get to know 23 families than it would be to get to know 100 families.

You've been out of the working world for a long time if that is what you believe.

An attorney will not respond to his/her clients without an agreement in place that defines the relationship. Boundaries in the form of a contract are set before the business relationship begins. In any goods and services relationship, or hourly employment, business agreements or contracts are clearly defined.

When you stop by a restaurant that has stopped serving in preparation for closing, do they make an exception for you? The food's still there, how hard can it be to turn the oven back on, I was only 5 minutes past last order...yadda, yadda, yadda...I'm sure that my experience is different than yours, but I usually find myself hungry, settling for fast food.

I think the question of liability is the only thing that could make field trip driving different than carpooling (school vs. individual driver) - then again, I don't know the law around that to say for sure.

I think it's really lucky, and great, hat you have had the time and opportunity to get to know this group of folks so well.
