LoL....thankfully not in my children's school, I really don't have a problem with asking questions or requesting to talk to the teachers within the guidelines that I have either been given or in the case of egd, requested.

That is exactly the impression I've been getting all along reading this exchange. I wonder if teachers are the only ones considered "obligated" to be available whenever to speak to whomever, or if the same is expected of other professions.

Only about 1 week and a WOHP on this board finally acknowledges this.
what i've learned is different styles for different teachers.
i'm excited to see this.
I already established - and you supported this with your current work experience - that the blue collar jobs have a lot less flexibility to discuss concerns with a teacher - usually no desk, no phone, no computer - during teachers' hours.
