as a wohm, I've been able to attend meetings with teachers or guidance counselors as I've needed to.


in the beginning of the year, I've historically had to have both a PPT and 504 meeting. I've been able to coordinate these -- with the help of those schools -- so that I can do both on the same day.


I take it as a personal day from work.

and while one may not have a desk with a phone and a computer, most people have at least a home phone with an answering machine OR even a CELL-PHONE that has voice-mail.
