Why would you malign orthodontists like many malign lawyers?

There are many jaw and pallet related problems that if caught early while the child is still growing, can prevent future surgery and painful procedures. My trusted orthodontist recommended treatment for ds at 8 of a jaw-related problem, and treatment at 14 for dd who took forever to lose her baby teeth. As a parent, I trusted the professional to do the right thing and we're pleased with the results.

Nearly exactly the same logic applied by YDS orthodontist.

My youngest is currently between phases in braces, had them for about a year to make room for the adult teeth that were coming in and now he's out of them for about a year while he loses the rest.

Yeah. Silly doctors, wanting to catch the problem early and treat it most efficiently.

That's what my ortho is doing for the youngest, stages and if the planning and around a year in braces works, it will save him not only time but pain in having multiple adult teeth pulled.....oldest has a different oral problem, he's in them for 2+ years and they purposely waited until he was a bit older.

Different problems, different solutions.

My older one has had all the genetic luck. No braces, no glasses. The younger one, not so much. He's had glasses/contacts since first grade, and needed some extensive orthodontic work. Doesn't really seem fair, does it?

I'm not getting how having orthodontic work in two stages, over a shorter period of time, is costing me more money than having it done later, and having to wear them a longer period of time. Especially since I locked in a two stage price when we had the first work done years ago.

It doesn't seem fair, nope.
