Explain why I need 11 more hours to smell the roses.
I would not.
SAH by itself accomplishes nothing except removing a tax payer from the work pool.
I know this wasn't directed at me but, try finding one.

"I'd hang my head in shame if all I were was a SAHM."
You don't think helping to raise the next generation well is not enough of a contribution????
"But you make less of a contribution to mankind if all you do is SAH and that's what most SAHM's I know do."
Less than whom?
I'm not sure how to answer this. You're saying you'd get bored of your closest family members if you spent "too much" time with them (??). Am I reading that correctly?
It's a tradeoff in terms of income earned and time spent, sure. Not everyone needs or wants 11 more free hours a week, but to pretend that all WOHMs have more than enough time to smell the roses is quite disingenuous.
