Who knows? I'm still figuring it out myself.
Most likely I'll WAH part time -- yes. If I do this, I'll need about 1/2 the nanny time we have now. If I do this, I'll likely stay part time till the baby is in kindegarten.

You have a nanny on top of your dh watching the children?

Yes -- we have a nanny 20-30 hours a week, and DH is a SAHD. Works well for us and the kids.

Yes we had it all planned out. I quit work about 4 years before our one and only was born and I had no plans of going back to work. My husband and I both agreed for me to be a stay at home wife and then we decided to have a child. Note we never wanted children our whole marriage. Then we decided before having her how it would all work. I would stay home fulltime and when she got to school age I would homeschool her. I use to Teach K-3rd so no reason why this wouldn't work. Well here we are and she will be 6 in April. Man where does the time go. We still have no plans for me to go back to work and we want to homeschool up thru College. Trish :) Both my husband and I are planners though things don't always work out how you want them to so I always think in my mind of a back up plan just in case. You never know what life will bring you.

We thought we had it all planned out. My mom was going to watch our son, we were both going to continue to work and life would be grand. Seven months into the pregnancy I had a meltdown and announced that I didn't want to leave the baby. My DH was supportive of my sah but we couldn't afford it at the time. By the time my son was six months old we had moved, he had gotten a nice raise and I was able to sah. Also, my mom's health had taken a turn for the worse so we would have had to use daycare if I continued to work and my DH wasn't comfortable with the idea. My son is almost two and I am still a sahm, though I am hoping to get my freelance writing back off the ground soon. I have no regrets about the decisions that we've made although I do wish I hadn't had to
