if I had twins and a baby I'd have a whole army of nannies on call -- good for you guys say I!

I don't think nanny cams are needed. 1) You (global) would have to put multiple cameras in every room the nanny would take the baby. 2) The time constraints required to view all that film would be astronomical. 3) If you (global) already suspect abuse on the part of your caregiver, you should get a new one. Once trust is broken it can't be repaired in this type of situation. 4) If you (global)are the type that suspects everyone who would care for your child, then othercare is not for you.

If I used a nanny I would think it would be worth the cost and effort.

That would be 8 hours for *each* camera. Although you could put it on fast forward to save time. But it would still take a while- probably time you would want to spend with your baby.

Are you likely to ever use a nanny?

Why? We have a parent with the baby always. The nanny is responsible mainly for the twins and ferrying them around, etc. They are VERY verbal. And about 3/4 of the time she's in our home with my DH and the kids. We don't need a nanny cam--we have a great nanny and a parent around. Even if he wasnt around as much, we trust her. Otherwise we NEVER would have employed her.
