I have a friend with three daughters-in-law all named Shelley. Well, it's Shelley, Chellie, and Shelly, but it doesn't help unless you are making name tags. The middle son, when he was dating, dated three or four girls in high school and college all names something like Rochelle, Michelle, Shelly, whatever. His parents always referred to Brad's current girlfriend as "the latest Shelley," which tended to tick off the one or two named something like Barbara.

My husband's sister is named Jeanine Marie. My husband's brother just married someone named Jeanine Marie. My husband and my brother both have the same first name. When I'm talking to my mother about either of them, I usually say "My " and "Your " so she knows which one I'm talking about. I guess I'm going to have to start doing the same thing on dh's side of the family with the two Jeanines. One will be "your sister Jeanine" and the other will be "Brian's Jeanine."
