I've never said that I would never discuss finances and salary with friends and neighbors.
Don't worry; it's just me. I have 2 main criteria for clothing and shoes. They must fit/be comfortable and be used for more than one thing. Ok 3--for clothes, mainly--they must look good on me. Even the shoes I wore at my wedding, I bought to be used after the wedding. In fact, I think that my wedding gown was the only piece of clothing I only wore once for only one event.

I have to admit, I really REALLY hate the peep toe craze. I probably just have terrible taste in clothing and accessories, but I find the peep-toe booties (or whatever they're called) and what-not to be just plain ugly. Is it just me?
I LOVE peep-toe shoes. But peep-toes should be on pumps or sling-backs, not on boots. I hate the peep-toe boots. If you're covering up that much of your foot, why leave the toe open?
I also hate the tennis-shoe slides.
I dunno, as with many things it depends. If they are from a good designer and prettily made, you can get away with it without having it look completely crack whore. I saw some at Barney's this AM that were kinda cute: http://www.barneys.com/Contrast%20Stitched%20Bootie/500744265,default,pd.html
They also cost around 900 bucks, so I won't be buying them anytime soon, lol.
OTOH, I really liked these http://www.barneys.com/Loafer%20Ankle%20Boot/500680571,default,pd.html
But, again, I am way too cheap to shell out for them.

Ok, I should have been more specific: I do kind of like peep-toes on some pumps and sling-backs, but the boots versions I can seriously live without :-).
I have never seen a peep toe boots but if it is what I am picturing it seems silly. To me boots are cold weather wear. If it is cold enough to wear boots then why would I not want full coverage.
The first ones, I could almost live it. They are interesting enough overall and the peep part is not humongous. The second pair are to die for. I don't know that I'd be willing to pay that much, but I'd be awfully tempted!
