You are talking about values.

For me, even $1 for a Nintendo DSI would be too much. I don't place much *value* on one.

It all depends on priorities. I don't drive and I don't like cars. It seems like a colossal waste to me when people buy cars that are more expensive than a basic utility car of some kind. But, I understand that if someone likes cars and drives a lot, the extra money may be worth it to that person.
