This theme was touched upon in another thread and I wanted to discuss it further.

It isn't fair, but they are notorious across the Balkans for having poor taste that veers towards the hookerish. Especially coming from Greeks, that is quite saying something.

I also saw some that looked a little Peggy Bundyish, and I do not think she was a hooker.

Please tell me you are kidding. All I see are hooker shoes and ER visits in every pair or what is worn in commercials for the Jersey Shore.

Are those ones you don't think look like hooker shoes? If so, most people would disagree with you.

I have a hatred of almost all wedges ...especially huge ones, so your first one is still fugly to me.

I love animal print shoes, but they need, imo, to be done with some class. The second pair is not done with class.

Third and fourth ones are just boring and not worthy of such a high heel.

The first black boots I actually kind of like.

Camel ones are "ehh".

Don't like the two-tone effect on the next-to-last ones.

Last ones would be appropriate for a black tie event or evenign wedding or some such, but that's about it.

Peggy Bundy is definitely getting very close to former USSR cleaning ladies in terms of her idea of "stylish."

I like the shoes, she looks like a great designer. I must have missed the part, though, where the company talks about ethical work practices.

Again, if an artisan in, say, Italy charges $900 for 2 weeks' worth of work, does that seem like an excessive amount of money? That works out to an income of $1800 per month, and that's not even including materials.

Have to disagree with the last ones. They look like a pair of 5-buck plastic sandals that the owner got her kid to glue sparkle-dust on.

That pretty much sums up my opinion on the matter.

OK, so no one can wear them without looking like a hooker or a drag queen.
