This theme was touched upon in another thread and I wanted to discuss it further.

"How is it a waste of money? Really? It's a THOUSAND dollars for a single pair of shoes. They're just shoes."

Yes, really. Please explain what gives you the right to judge whether someone has wasted his or her money by buying a pair of expensive shoes. If the person in question loves and treasures that pair of hideously expensive shoes, why is that necessarily a waste? Or are you saying that everyone should lead a bare-bones life with absolutely no frivolous or expensive purchases when cheaper purchases will do? How cheap is cheap enough?

Those all look like hooker shoes to me. I like a good 3-4 inch heel for dress up, but any higher than that and everyone goes into hooker territory.

From what I could tell, it looks like she makes the shoes herself. I could be wrong though.

Does it take two weeks to make one pair of shoes? I guess I don't know enough about shoemaking, but I would think a professional shoemaker would be able to make more than 2 pairs a month, especially once he or she was established.

What I mostly don't like about the high-high heels is that, in order to make them walkable, they have to put the platform under the toe/ball of the foot.
