This theme was touched upon in another thread and I wanted to discuss it further.

Spent 12.5 years as a SAHM and never once scrap booked. Our 28+ years of pictures are all sitting in boxes.

Yah, I think it is much like anything else, it is a personality thing. One of my sisterinlaws scrapbooks more than I do and the other tried it out when it first came out with the creative memories home parties and she didn't like it. She has been sah as long as I and I think she has boxes & boxes of pictures but the only complete scrapbook was the one I made for my niece's 1 year birthday.

I have a friend who woh and goes to scrapbook conventions, classes regurlarly. I like the shopping ops at the conventions but I don't like the crop sessions or classes. I don't like to attend the classes at our local scrapbook stores either.

I don't like to attend any kind of class though. Not even a cooking one over at WilliamsSonoma.

We use shutterfly and create a "Best of" photo album every year. When I say, "we", I mean DH as he is the photographer in the family.

Actually I should have said our "old" pictures are in boxes. Our more current digital photos are on our computers (or still in the camera).

We take so many pictures that it is a challenge to keep up with printing them. I print all for the albums and then I select the ones I'm using in the scrapbooks and print extra of those. It just takes me time to decide, print and I don't want my prints at the store so I have to be sure to request they are ready on the day of the week I'm out.

I have to wonder, when you say that you think that someone should have a reason, what in your opinion is and is not a justifiable reason?

Well, I listed a couple of things.
