This theme was touched upon in another thread and I wanted to discuss it further.

Yes, thanks. Poverty is not pretty.

It's a form of tl;dr, which is short for "too long, didn't read".

We expect it just as we expect the cross traffic not to run the red light.

I draw a distinction between a person who is not willing to work and person who is willing to work but for whom working right now would actually make them even more destitute. I despise the former. I do not begrudge the latter some eggs and milk while they work on changing their circumstances (such as getting a family business up-and-running or getting an education).

It doesn't matter.

Yes we all expect a multitude of things. Many of them are not going to happen. But your expectations have no rights with them (ok I'll give you the bill of rights, life liberty yadda)

And further your expectations do not have rights regarding other people that are not you & whether they apply for WIC when their circumstances qualify for it & what they are doing or not doing about their income in regards to making more than the qualifying cut off. The same would for for welfare & foodstamps also.

Shrug.

You're welcome. I actually didn't know what it was, either. I had to look it up and had the same thought about it - why post at all in response to something you didn't bother to read.

Finding nothing subjective in any circumstances. Well that's called black and white thinking folks. Nothing else to debate here for someone who can't see anything beyond what they say is right.

If you would be more destitute by working, you're likely uneducated and untrained
