<<He went online to look for himself and they gave the info on the pay. >>

You realize, don't you, that the stated pay range on a job listing is not necessarily the pay a person currently in the job actually makes?

No pay range. The actual salary. Most jobs online will tell you the actual salary. Sometimes you can get them to go higher but they won't go lower than that.

All of my children start with J, too. ;~)

Interestingly enough, I don't remember if they have a Joel or not. I was thinking they did, but I may be confusing them with the Gosselins. (Although I'm certainly not sure how THAT could ever happen!LOL)

Then you must not have searched for jobs online or in the paper where they show the salary.

The person in the job might will be making MORE so what I have seen as the salary was actually less then the person on the job already.

Not my experience at all, and I have had a lot of jobs. Not private sector jobs anyway. IME most do not give any info, and the one's that do give a range. The higher paying the job, the less info you will get ahead about the salary because it's going to be a point of negotiation.

Right. No employer would want to pay an employee LESS than the stated salary, that's where they have to draw the line.

Yes, more private, smaller businesses show the salary online.

Still disagree. Not my experience at all with private jobs. Universities, government jobs, those you can usually see the salary RANGE. Private companies, not often IME and if it's there, it's a range.
