Ah! So other than that one instance, you have never looked up or inquired about anyone's salary? People have just volunteered the information to you? Ok. I have to admit I've never in my life met someone who told me what they earned, but I guess it could be different where you live.

I'm confused. If the person isn't doing anything illegal, why would you call the police and what would you tell them? Or do you routinely complain about the fact that someone is living in a state owned apartment based on the assumption that they pose a danger to you? I've never tried that approach, actually, does it work pretty well in ridding the neighborhood of that person?
Now that's a thought!
Well, apparently people just randomly volunteer this information! I keep thinking it must be a matter of cultural differences....
